Using passes

Introduction

This section provides an over view of what passes are, how they are used and what you need to do in your reservie account if considering the use of passes.

What is a pass

Passes provide a flexible way to allow clients to pre-purchase credit which can later be redeemed against one or more events.

They must first be defined in reservie by the account administrator, but once defined can be purchased by any of your clients and later redeemed against classes, workshops or other events.

How are passes purchased

Once defined, passes are ready for purchase. If you are using v4 schedules, then no further work is required.

If you are using an older version of the schedule or using standalone booking pages, we recommend that you list these along with your events on your website. The rest of this help refers to those not using v4 schedule

You website is the central hub of the services your offer and the prices that you charge. We will also direct clients back to your website upon successful completion of purchase or in the event that a client attempts to use a pass but has insufficient credit to do so.

Whilst of course it your decision how you structure your website. We typically find that it is useful to have a single page page that lists your events and pricing options, including possible pass options.

For example, lets assume you have a website with the following address:

https://comepracticeyogawithdavid.com

Then you might add a page which details your classes, pricing options and passes at the following address:

https://comepracticeyogawithdavid.com/time-table

Preparing your reservie account and website for pass usage.

Before using passes, we recommend checking your settings to ensure that reservie understands where your passes are listed on your website. To do this

Step 1: Click Settings -> Company from the left hand menu

Navigate to company settings

Step 2: Set the pass sales page

Within the company settings page, locate the pass sales field and add your pass sales page address into this field

Using the example above, we would enter the following into this field:

https://comepracticeyogawithdavid.com/time-table

Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the form and click continue

Once you have clicked continue, the sales page will be referenced by reservie as necessary.
