reservie notifications and Zoom

Introduction

An integral part of using reservie with Zoom is to automate the transmission of Zoom meeting invite details. This can be done via two key mechanisms:

  1. Purchase event notifications - an email that can be sent to a client upon purchasing an event

  2. Event reminder notification - an email that can be sent to a client 2 hours before the commencement of an event.

Purchase event notifications

By default no purchase event notifications are defined in reservie. So, it is important that you first define the notification via the following steps:

Step 1: Navigate to the notifications section

Click ‘Notifications’ -> ‘Email templates’ using the left hand menu

Step 3. Define the email message.

The notification editor will request the following information:

  • Friendly name - this is the name given to the email and is private. This should be something that is meaningful to you.

  • Subject - the email subject

  • Body - the email body.

The email body is the most important aspect of the email. To limit the probability of spam checker discarding your email, you should aim for the email to be brief, clear and concise. An example of a possible email is as follows:

Hello {firstname}
Thank you for your booking. We look forward to practising with you soon. You have booked the following:
{purchase}
You access details will be is follows:

{event}{date}:

Meeting invite: {meetinginvite}; Meeting ID: {meetingid}; Passcode: {meetingpasscode} {!event}

Important note: The keywords in curly braces ‘{‘ and ‘}’ tells reservie that it should replace these keywords with real information.
